Business Strategy + Leadership for Group Fitness

You Know How to Lead the Room. Let’s Strengthen the Business Behind It.

Fit Powerfully™ helps women build stronger, smarter, and more sustainable businesses around group fitness and helps fitness organizations strengthen the leadership behind the experience.

Whether your experience lives in a boutique studio, online, through a proprietary format, or across pop-ups and partnerships, the business still has to work behind the classes. Fit Powerfully™ brings strategy, operations, people, programming, culture, intellectual-property awareness, founder leadership, and management development into one view.

More Than a Great Class

The Experience Is Only One Part of the Business.

A group fitness business asks you to create something people want to return to while also making decisions about pricing, capacity, instructors, quality, retention, systems, brand, programming, and growth.

Those decisions do not happen in separate boxes. A pricing decision can affect instructor compensation. A programming decision can create intellectual-property questions. A growth decision can expose weak systems. A strong community can still sit on top of a business model that needs attention.

Fit Powerfully™ helps you see the connections, identify what deserves attention, and make stronger decisions about what comes next.

You do not need another collection of generic studio tips. You need strategy that understands the business model you are actually building.

The Fit Powerfully™ approach

Who I Help

Different Group Fitness Models. The Same Need for Strong Business Architecture.

01

Boutique Fitness Studio Owners

Physical and hybrid studios managing space, schedules, instructors, memberships, utilization, local marketing, client experience, payroll, and the daily realities of keeping the business strong.

02

Format or Methodology Founders

Founders who created a distinctive format, curriculum, teaching methodology, or movement experience and need a business model that can grow without losing quality or clarity around what they created.

03

Online Group Fitness Founders

Live, on-demand, and hybrid businesses built around subscriptions, programming, digital delivery, content rights, guest instructors, retention, and an experience that reaches beyond a physical location.

04

Mobile, Pop-Up, and Future Studio Owners

Businesses operating through rented spaces, community partnerships, corporate programs, events, or pop-ups, including founders building toward a future permanent location.

The Business Behind the Experience

Seven Areas I Look At When the Business Needs a Stronger Next Move.

The issue that brought you here may live in one area. The cause, consequence, or solution may live somewhere else.

01

Business Foundations

Structure, responsibilities, policies, insurance, agreements, and the operating practices holding the business together.

02

Revenue + Pricing

Memberships, subscriptions, class packs, certifications, licensing, renewals, and revenue architecture.

03

Programming + IP

Formats, curriculum, training materials, recordings, methodologies, creative assets, ownership, and protection decisions.

04

Instructor + Team Systems

Selection, readiness, training, evaluation, compensation, retention, standards, and leadership.

05

Member Experience

Discovery, onboarding, participation, re-engagement, renewal, referral, belonging, and retention.

06

Brand + Culture

Positioning, market clarity, community, identity, expectations, and the experience people associate with your name.

07

Operations + Founder Leadership

Systems, documentation, decision-making, capacity, and reducing unnecessary dependence on the founder’s constant presence.

Leadership Training for Fitness Organizations

Does Your ProgramLook Like You Care?™

Operational Care™ for Group Fitness Leaders is a proprietary leadership framework developed by Tonia M. Fisher, Esq. for managers, directors, owners, and organizations responsible for the people and programs behind the group fitness experience.

It starts with a simple premise: care should become visible in how a program is led. The training examines the difference between caring about a program and creating operational evidence of that care through responsible leadership.

Operational Care™

Care should leave evidence.

A practical leadership conversation grounded in the realities of group fitness.

  • Leadership of instructors, teams, standards, and member experience
  • Accountability without reducing leadership to punishment
  • Real organizational constraints, authority, and responsibility
  • The hidden cost of relying on your most conscientious people to keep compensating for recurring problems

Now accepting inquiries for organizational workshops, management training, conference sessions, and professional-development presentations.

“If you say you care about the program, there should be evidence of that care in how the program operates.”

Bring Me the Business You Are Actually Running.

For founders who need direct strategic support, Fit Powerfully™ consulting provides experienced analysis, a clearer view of the business, and practical priorities you can act on.

Focused Strategic Support

Focused Strategy Intensive

Starting at $549

One defined business issue. Experienced analysis. A focused path forward.

For the founder who does not need a complete Audit but does need a strategic partner to help work through one important challenge. This is also the primary consulting pathway for format founders, certification businesses, online group fitness providers, and mobile or pop-up operators.

  • Pricing or recurring-revenue structure
  • Instructor hiring and quality systems
  • New-member onboarding and retention
  • Studio or format positioning
  • Certification or training architecture
  • Format licensing strategy
  • Online membership structure
  • Preparing for a physical location
When the work is larger than one defined issue, a longer advisory engagement may be considered after the initial strategic work establishes scope and priorities.

About Tonia

I Have Been Inside This Business From Every Angle.

Hi, I’m Tonia Fisher.

I have experienced group fitness as an instructor, a boutique studio owner, a regional group fitness leader, a business strategist, and an intellectual-property attorney. That means I understand what happens in the room and what has to happen behind it.

I understand the pressure of creating an experience clients love while also making decisions about instructor quality, scheduling, pricing, policies, retention, revenue, systems, and growth. I also understand how quickly programming, brand, agreements, and ownership questions can become business questions.

Fit Powerfully™ was built with Black women and other women of color in group fitness at the center, founders whose businesses are often rooted in culture, community, expertise, and experiences the generic fitness-business market does not fully understand.

Intellectual-property attorney with 25 years of legal experience
Former boutique fitness studio owner
Former regional group fitness manager
Group fitness professional with 20+ years in the industry

Your business does not experience strategy, operations, people, culture, programming, and intellectual property as separate subjects. My approach does not treat them that way either.
